Support Delta Theta of Sigma Nu

It is with the support of our incredible alumni that Delta Theta has continued to serve as Knox College’s premier fraternity for young men.  Please continue to support our programs by giving a gift.

Here are several ways to give:

ALUMNI MEMBERSHIP DUES

Al Schmidt, class of ’61, Don Gingold, class of ’81, and Jeff Sutton, class of ’83 at a recent homecoming BBQ.

Alumni dues allow House Corporation and the Alumni Association to help finance the various events and things they offer Delta Theta Alums such as:

  • Homecoming Food / BBQ
  • Hall of Honor Plaques and Awards
  • Event Swag

Recommended dues are as follows:

  • $35/year for ages 24-29+
  • $50/year for ages 29+
  • Give what you can at a higher or lower level.

Or, you can make your check payable to, “Delta Theta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity House Corporation, LLC” and mail it to Sigma Nu – Delta Theta Chapter Alumni Assoc., c/o Eric Langston, Treasurer, 1907 Glenway Dr SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.

Please note: Alumni Membership Dues are not tax deductible.

DONATE TO THE HOUSING FUND

Brothers painting the Tompkins house back in ’50’s.

The Housing Fund helps support first-class housing to current members of Delta Theta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

The physical House is the main way Brothers develop relationships, learn, and experience fraternity life.

It is House Corporation’s goal that the Fraternity have whatever tools it needs to help the first-class education members are receiving from Knox College.

Please note: Knox College processes and manages donations made to the housing fund on Delta Theta’s behalf.

Your gift will be considered a donation to Knox College, and the monies directed to Delta Theta’s housing fund.

Make sure you check to see if your employer or an associated industry organization will match your donation, and make your gift go that much further!

THE DAVID HARTMAN SCHOLARSHIP

The David Hartmann Scholarship is awarded to a deserving Knox College student who demonstrates significant financial need to meet their educational expenses. The scholarship replaces financial aid that otherwise would have to be paid back by the student. The Knox College Office of Financial Aid selects the scholarship recipient with the following considerations, in order of preference, in mind:

  • A student who has physical disabilities
  • A current member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity

A total of 40 people have contributed to make the scholarship a reality. This includes the Sigma Nus and fellow classmates who knew David, as well as many others who were inspired by his story.

You can donate to the scholarship on-line.  When completing the on-line form, simply type in The David Hartmann Scholarship into the gift Designation area.

Please note: Like the Housing Fund, Knox College processes and manages donations made to The David Hartmann Scholarship on Delta Theta’s behalf. Your gift will be considered a donation to Knox College, and the monies directed to the Scholarship.

ADD DELTA THETA TO YOUR WILL

Making a gift through your will and estate planning is a terrific way to support the chapter.
